Abstract

Cerebral palsy is the mental disorder that affects movement and body position due to brain damage happened before the baby was born, at birth or as a baby. It is considered as group of permanent disorders of the development of movement and posture, causing activity limitation, that are attributed to non progressive disturbance that occurred in the developing fetal or infant brain. Cerebral palsy is the most common of all childhood disabilities affecting most of the population. The prevalence rate is estimated as 2.5 per 1000 but may very from 1 to 6 per 1000.
