Abstract

OBJECTIVE: In developing nations, where rheumatic heart disease continues to be the primary cause of valvular illnesses, rheumatic mitral valve disease is significantly less prevalent than in North America & Europe. The research aimed to assess the midterm outcomes of mitral valve replacement for rheumatic mitral regurgitation over 15 years in terms of survival rate, late valve failure, & the need for repeat surgery.
