Abstract

Due to its significant morbidity, mortality, and financial burden, type 2 diabetes is becoming more and more prevalent worldwide, raising concerns about public health.  Genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors contribute to T2DM (World Health Organization, 2023).  Allostatic load, which describes the cumulative physiological burden of chronic stress on various body systems, is one of the emerging concepts in this study of diabetes.
